Safer Families: Enhanced Caseworkers provide a Gaia centre Domestic Violence Outreach Service specifically for adults experiencing domestic violence, who are either pregnant or have families with children under 4 years old, living in the LEAP wards of Coldharbour, Vassall, Stockwell and Tulse Hill in Lambeth.
The purpose of Safer Families: Enhanced Caseworkers is to provide long-term support ensuring that all parents support needs are met for as long as they would like to access the service. It is available to anyone who could be experiencing domestic abuse living in a LEAP ward.
You can contact us at any stage, whether the abuse is just beginning or has escalated.
The service offers emotional support, and advice on practical matters such as safety, legal, housing, financial as well as holistic support to enable clients to feel less isolated.
LEAP’s Enhanced Casework service offers face-to-face appointments and works flexibly to meet people in the community or wherever they feel safe.
For example, we can meet at children’s centres, or existing appointments, such as midwife sessions.
We can then talk to you, listen and try to understand what you could be experiencing.
Everyone’s needs are unique and so we will work with each client to create a support plan that helps keep you safe and is tailored to your individual needs. For example, clients who access our service can:
You can phone or email the team, who will get back to you as soon as possible.
